52 Week Colour Challenge, Patina

Patina....never heard of it but quite like the colour.

I was totally uninspired though and if it were not for a certain inworld artist I would have stayed that way. I saw her work on Flickr and contacted her. Patricia answered immediately with the information I wanted. Thank you! If you follow my flickr link you will find a link to her work and what inspired me.

So, once inspired I went shopping...and had a vague deja vu moment in A.S.S. I remember collecting a gift there on a hunt and my memory served me well. Up popped the Noctis Bolero - peacock from A.S.S, just the right colour I believe. Its feather texturing is quite beautiful and very flambouyant. I shall find more occasions to wear it.

To make the bolero stand out I am wearing Crazys Sence overalls in black: A wonderfully textured bodysuit. My Bax boots had to go with the bodysuit, tinted entirely black...ideal.

Now just the skin, hair and eyes. The skin was my usual PXL Creations Candy skin. the hair is BP's Big Bomb 1 hair...for that funky look....and the eyes, my usual, are Miriels.

It needed something else...hmmm. I remember a fair, a few years back, that had ground breaking make up available on tattoo layers. The Little Bat had a small selection there and I picked up the Lilac & Teal tattoo. Perfect for that funky disco look.

The Home & Garden Valentine's Hunt celebrating the opening of New Frontier Homes runs from 9am SLT to 9pm SLT TODAY ONLY on Triskelion Shores!

I already blogged some of the goodies, but I wanted to show you the amazing White Sail Condo from by DeZyne Home Sales. It's 91 prims of high end modern design. It includes an amazing bathroom area with sink and dripping faucet! The textures are super and it's copy/mod. So look out for this one during the hunt. It's a real winner!

Home & Garden Valentine's Hunt

The Home & Garden Valentine's Hunt sponsored by New Frontier Homes is a one day only event being held this Saturday. I was fortunate enough to have been give early access to the goodies. And good they are! Watch for additional information soon!


I'm showing 3 of the goodies that will be available for this hunt on the Triskelion Shores sim. The chairs are the Low Rider Slouchy Chair from HomeKraft and come with several animations. The quirky angles remind me a bit of M.C. Escher, yet they are very comfortable! The bare branch tree behind the chairs is Awakening Love from Kaligawa Originals. In the shape of a heart, it includes a beautiful working wind chime. I'm assuming the little green shoots at the bottom of the twisted trunk are what's "awakening" ;) Finally the picture on the wall is Marmalade Jam's Valentine Art Print and Letter. It's resizable and comes with a nail and a shadow. What more could you ask? The rug underneath is also by HomeKraft, but not part of the hunt.

52 Week Colour Challenge, Iron

Iron...hmm, intresting concept.

After a rummage through my inventory I came across CoL's Sunday dress in grey. A strapless, floaty skirted dress that is very pretty in texture and design.

I matched it to Truth hair that I bought this morning and a Glam Affair gift skin from a while back, I think, that kept the look pure and simple. N-Core shoes, tinted using the HUD, finished the look.

The location was Fotoscope. An amazing place just full of props and poses for the inworld photographer.

52 Week Colour Challenge, Electric Indigo

Electric Indigo...I admit to not having very much in that colour so I went shopping.

I ended up at Cracked Mirrors mainstore and having had a quick look around decided on the Mercy Blouse in purple. It's simple but well made and shows quite a bit of flesh. I deal with jeans, leggings or a skirt; it's a versatile piece to have in any inventory.

I shot this in a hurry so failed to note any of the other items...sorry.

Coral....I have more than I thought I had but still I am going to cheat as I am soooo far behind.

52 Week Colour Challenge, Champagne

Champagne....such a gorgeous colour.

To begin this years challenge I have chosen one of Nicky Ree's most beautiful, classic gowns..The Lady Aurora Gown, with the svelte skirt. The texturing is divine, the lace so delicate yet heavy. The design makes this gown suitable for any occasion, from wedding to medieval ball.

The location was built and shown to me by a friend, who I don't see enough. The stunning tower has to be seen to appreciate it properly. Raven, thank you! So here are the details:
