Two ways with Lila

For the whole of June 5th & Oxford have out an exclusive colour of their new underwear at Copley Square.

Lila in peach is again testament to the creative perfection of Roslin and CJ. A satin slip with garters, beautifully crafted and textured. Looks so soft that you could touch it. Matching knickers and two shades of stockings complete this retro set. Again, choice and variation in the fact that loads of layers are available to wear.

Here are 2 ways of wearing this wonderful lingerie…

In the top picture I decided to go very retro. I am wearing the matching stockings to keep it simple. Again PXL Creations Grace skin graces my avatar, the hair is from JetDoll and includes the flower.

In the bottom picture my good friend Samara went more contemporary. She wore the contrasting stockings paired with Kitty Lair’s Vintage Heels in gold. Her skin is from La Sylphide and hair from Tiny Bird. Simple jewellery from Alienbear. A modern twist to this classic underwear.

We're alaMood!

When Jori dropped her Kalnera set made especially for the ongoing Mental Health Awareness Fair I was already wearing 5th & Oxford's Seaside Sweetie shorts and halter. When I saw the beautiful blues in Kalnera I changed into the striped halter in pink and the shorts in turquoise. Tiny Bird's Postcards from Italy showed off the earrings nicely and the Boardwalkers from Sand Shack in Pelican Blue finished the look.

I'm a "Seaside Sweetie"

Roslin Petion's "Seaside Sweetie" collection for 5th & Oxford comes in shorts and a lovely system skirt as well as two styles of halters. I've chosen to wear the Shorts in Black and the Halter in Red & White Stripes. I might have chosen the dark blue shorts, but I wanted to show off my new (no) Mercy heels from Orange Creations in Red. (They all have black woven straps).

The textures on the Seaside items are nicely detailed. I particularly like the white trim on the V-neck front for the halter and the worn look for the shorts. I'm not sure have the shoes matched right yet to my Claire skin from La Sylphide, but it shouldn't be hard to refine it for my usual PXL Creations skins. It took me a while to buy the shoes as I just think Maitreya has it right, but with their lower prices Orange Creation has shown (some) Mercy:)

Summer Shopping

Two of the best places for summer SL shopping are Artilleri and Whippet&Buck. With a bit of Humming thrown in. From left to right...

W&B Lizzy Cropped Boatneck in Coral. This one is a real teaser, Modest front then a tied peek-a-boo back. It comes in so many colors that you should just get the fatpack and be done with it. On the bottom are the Artilleri Johanna Denim Shorts. They are a bit high-waisted with the best rolled cuffs ever! Earrings are Whippet&Buck's Aemilia. Again in many colors. And yeah just get that fatpack LOL

Artilleri's Darla shirt in red, minus its red tie is paired with W&B's Georgie shorts in West Coast. Many beautiful colors. Don't make me say it again ;) Violet Voltaire Heart Container earrings and pink plaid flats from In Her Shoes complete the look.

Finally, those Artilleri shorts again with the CheckGauze Shirt from Humming and Shiny Things Zimmy Flats.

So get thee to a store and stock up for summer!

Two by Two

Since I've been a very bad blogger™ I have a Noah's Ark of backlogs. So until it's cleared up a bit I'll be posting 2 looks at a time, hopefully with some connection. The connection this time is the new Tiny Bird Postcards from Italy hair in Copper, it's chic, flirty and has some lovely flexi bits.


My top is the upper part of the :NuDoLu: La barboteuse rose outfit. The rest of it is beautiful also, but I also thought it would just make a nice blouson top over my trusty W&B Stein shorts in Finch. I'm wearing the TOMBOY Sneakies in Spring Plaid. These are an inexpensive sneaker option available on Callie Cline's sim. My skin is L.Fauna's new Lapine Series in Mystical/Pale 2 WITH FRECKLES. Last, but not least.. another old favorite, []::Tuli::[] wooden heart necklace green/amber. I've had it for years and it is always the one I call on when I want a natural looking necklace for an outfit.



On the glam side here's SySy's new Ruby Jumpsuit in Gold. I'm not wearing the leg prims and I did have to mod the belt a bit to fit my avatar, but it was worth it. It's a very soft texture, finished off with the wonderful tie belt. AND a sexy laced up back with a little tie. Shoes are Adam n Eve's Babii in Amber. Earrings are Amida in Gold from Mandala. And the skin *sigh* is the new Claire from La Sylphide. It is the Gold makeup in Light

Ivalde...Vintage

So sad to see Ivalde close...I have many pieces in my inventory that I wear often. Please excuse the poor editing, was a rush job...but i think it still shows the outfits.

The first is one of my all time favourites and I wear it often...Ivalde Gertie rose dress. It's retro, feminine and pretty. from the chiffon bust to the floral print bodice and skirt...the textures are just perfect. The flexi frill addition to the skirt makes the whole dress complete. I love wearing it.

I chose a Fleur skin, Ingenue hair and RiArnya wedges to compliment the ensemble.

My second is a new purchase from the Retrology shop...the Ivalde maud purple Edwardian gown. It is elegant and represents the period perfectly. Again the textures are outstanding, with a lace bust and sleeve, followed by the bodice and skirt in beautifully pleated material. The design is breathtaking..using both a system skirt and a sculpty one to give the Edwardian shape..so clever. The ribbon is the perfect touch to the the whole dress.

This time I chose a La Sylphide skin, ETD hair and AC shoes to complete the look.

Neferias creativity and design will be missed. Come back soon...
