Chalice's Challenge

When I first saw Chalice’s Challenge I thought hmmm…I do not possess any wedding dresses, so no temptation there, but I do possess quite a few white dresses and numerous of other colours….what do I choice? Not the obvious one I did wear…lol.

Then my recent purchase of the My Precious’s Faith gown sprang to mind. Its white..so quite traditional, but short so nicely contemporary. Perfect for a beach wedding, with its lace and train. I teamed it up with L+R+W Fairy white shoes with the flower accessories, Tukinowaguma hair and Alienbear. My usual Fleur skin and Miriel eyes were a certain. The only thing I lacked were the flowers. I went back to the shop I bought my original bouquet from and purchased a simple hand held bunch of white lilies.

My second bridal look I wanted to reflect the theatrical in me. I toyed with the idea of a big skirted back gown but thought too obvious. Then I remembered Nicky Ree’s Le Fleur Gown in red, with all the accompanying paraphernalia. The Le Fleur skin by Fleur and the Le Fleur jewellery set by Alienbear. At this point I had to go Baroque and dug out Curl Up and Dyes Antoinette hair in black, tinting the hair ribbons dark red. I used my original bouquet with the deep red roses.

This was a fun challenge…thank you Chalice!

Baroque Bo Peep

I am a sucker for costumes, especially Baroque and especially open skirts. When I saw Likka House’s Marie I knew I had to have it.

It reminds me of a Baroque Little Bo Peep…minus the staff. The bodice is tight fitting and square necked. It has lace at the neckline and bows down the chest. The three quarter length sleeves have bows at the elbows and finish in wide lace and material frills. All the textures are detailed and the design beautiful. The colours a pure candy shop baby blue and pink, with the main bodice in pale grey. The skirt starts with a hip ‘pelmet’ of sweeping folds of material with flowers decorating it. The skirt itself falls to mid calf length and is shorter at the front. The lace of the skirt provides modesty at the front whilst adorning the hem of the rest of the skirt. The back sports a flower ‘bustle’ with a bow whose ribbon falls down the back of the skirt. Pretty and fun.

In the same folder are stockings with bows, shoes to match, a choker and beauty spots. All can be seen here except for the cheek spot. I arranged this attachment so only the lower beauty spot shows..my reason?

The reason being is the skin I chose to wear with this outfit. Fleur Vivant Buff Dig Ophelia 2 has a beauty spot in almost the same place and I wanted to wear this skin as it has a soft and pretty make up to match the outfit. Unfortunately this skin is only available via TaP Shepherd inworld as Fleur no longer exsists.

To finish the whole look I chose Curl Up & Dye hair, Antoinette – WHITE. I tinted the bows to match the dress details and I think the piled high, powdered wig look just completes the whole ensemble.

Now, where did those sheep go???
