This is a blog about customer service and wonderful clothes. Firstly, I apologise to Ivey Deschanel for the delay in getting this blog out. In my defense I did leave the country I was in to visit my family, hence no internet for a while.

Trawling one of the fashion feeds a couple of weeks ago, the Sn@tch sale caught my eye. One item in particular that made me think ‘I must have that’ was the Alice Wrap Top. So, I popped over to the Sn@tch mainstore and began to look for said top. Now, admittedly, I did start my search in the sales department but, wanting this top, I widened my search to the rest of the store and a satellite one. I went round the store about four times and I still couldn’t find it. I had one of those snow blind moments but with clothes…lol.

In desperation I sought help from Ivey Deschanel, genius creator behind Sn@tch. I asked her to point me in the right direction, thinking she might send me a landmark to the right vendor. Her response was immediate and, with kindness and generosity, she ensured my dilemma was resolved. I am very grateful to her and am very impressed with her customer service ethos. If only all creators were so.

OK…the clothes…the Alice Wrap top is a system piece with attachments, bow and princess sleeves, but it is oh so brilliant. A cropped wrap around top, which encompasses great design with wonderful texturing. It manages to be both sexy and classy in one go.

On my search for this top one of the Sn@tch new mesh releases kept me coming back to it. A simple silk mini skirt called Kyla. It has a slight Middle Eastern flavour to it with the ‘fringed’ skirt top but it’s simplicity is its strength.

Needless to say, with a range of colours available in all of Sn@tchs clothes folders I was able to pair up both the top and skirt nicely with each other. To preserve my modesty I donned a pair of *League* Itty Bitty Tangas. I am also wearing a pair of N-core ILLUSION XtremeHeels. The rest are my usual and listed below.

Strawberry's Meme

1. First SL Friend:  Literally my first friend was Kegan Allstar. We clung together for a bit, then she didn’t log on for a long time. My First REAL Friend was and still is Fury Stapleton. I bought my first 512 uphill from her. Her house was a wreck, literally, from some event I forget. She was tall, gorgeous and chic-ly dressed. I was in total awe. Fury is the one who took me to ETD and Simone to get my first decent hair and clothes. We’ve been best mates ever since, having met in RL twice.
2. First SL Kiss: Nope. Altho there was this French avi who followed me around for a while asking me if I wanted to neck. I finally shook him off.
3. First SLex time/place/partner: Nope. I cybered in back in telnet days, when words were the medium. Made the decision on arrival not to go that route.
4. First SL Partner/Girlfriend/Boyfriend/Wife/Husband:  My RL husband. He’s never online, but the name in the partner box and the ring stops most pests.
5. First SL Job: Assistant to Ella Sartre, owner of a translation business. It was Ella who got me in the door at ETD.
6.  First SL Creation: Probably a very bad house.
7. First Encounter with a Linden: Socrates, when I rezzed one of those take your money things-I wasn’t dumb enough to click yes, but I was dumb enough to rez it. Since then I’ve met a couple more, either at ETD or when I was having a land issue. Torley commented on my  “Only in SL” set on Flickr. *dies*
8.    First Encounter with a SLebrity: Would have to be Elikapeka Tiramisu, who hired me even though I was clearly a fashion disaster. It was Fall 2007 and I was still wearing system eyelashes. Next would have been Roslin Petion who was wandering ETD while her sim rebooted. I ended up working for her too. The other two people I was in total fangirl/awe of were Milla Michinaga—her blog was soooooo chic *sighs* and Grazia Horwitz whose photo skills scared the crap out of me, but she was a friend of Roslin’s so I got to know her. I ended up working for Milla for a year and Grazia is my SL sister and we’ve met in RL also.

DRIFT(ing), part 2

  

 

 

 

 As promised the knit versions of the DRIFT Flirtini dress. Same styling as the crochet but with a ton of various patterns on knits textures. Here, I am showing the simple diamond patterned white dress for that everyday apparel and the silver 'glitter' dress for that special occasion. Same dress different knit texture...brillaint!

Initial thoughts were to go with leather or latex but then thought softer and sexier....besides I adore this lingerie and it seemed like a good excuse to don it :)

DRIFT(ing), part 1

 

 

 

 

 

I saw these dresses on the feed and thought I'd check them out. Drift is a small but wonderful shop, with some great creations. I accidently bought the knit versions, which I will blog another time, but for this blog I am showing the crochet version with medium skin tone.

 

Think this is a new favourite, espcially as all colours are included with the purchase.

 

A lovely, flirty summer dress, skillfully designed and textured. I will be looking out for more from Drift in the future.
