This is a blog about customer service and wonderful clothes. Firstly, I apologise to Ivey Deschanel for the delay in getting this blog out. In my defense I did leave the country I was in to visit my family, hence no internet for a while.

Trawling one of the fashion feeds a couple of weeks ago, the Sn@tch sale caught my eye. One item in particular that made me think ‘I must have that’ was the Alice Wrap Top. So, I popped over to the Sn@tch mainstore and began to look for said top. Now, admittedly, I did start my search in the sales department but, wanting this top, I widened my search to the rest of the store and a satellite one. I went round the store about four times and I still couldn’t find it. I had one of those snow blind moments but with clothes…lol.

In desperation I sought help from Ivey Deschanel, genius creator behind Sn@tch. I asked her to point me in the right direction, thinking she might send me a landmark to the right vendor. Her response was immediate and, with kindness and generosity, she ensured my dilemma was resolved. I am very grateful to her and am very impressed with her customer service ethos. If only all creators were so.

OK…the clothes…the Alice Wrap top is a system piece with attachments, bow and princess sleeves, but it is oh so brilliant. A cropped wrap around top, which encompasses great design with wonderful texturing. It manages to be both sexy and classy in one go.

On my search for this top one of the Sn@tch new mesh releases kept me coming back to it. A simple silk mini skirt called Kyla. It has a slight Middle Eastern flavour to it with the ‘fringed’ skirt top but it’s simplicity is its strength.

Needless to say, with a range of colours available in all of Sn@tchs clothes folders I was able to pair up both the top and skirt nicely with each other. To preserve my modesty I donned a pair of *League* Itty Bitty Tangas. I am also wearing a pair of N-core ILLUSION XtremeHeels. The rest are my usual and listed below.

OK, so...been a little lazy this week with the blogging.

 

However, I did go shopping and my first purchase was at Collabor8. A cool collection by some of the most talented designers. The [HANDverk] Rose Pumps caught my eye, so pretty. I love the rose back with the thorned stem as a heel. I liked them so much I got 2 colours...the ones I am showing here are Moss coloured. The only bugbear is that they look like system shoes of old when on, so cluncky ankles, but otherwise I love enough to wear them.

 

My second purchase was at Lellutka, via Gypsy Market. The BeStyle avi was wearing a hair to die for so I profiled it...now we have all done it, admit it ladies. [LeLutka]-MAGDALEN hair, streaked even. I just had to get it, I am sporting Bourneville_01 with the pony tail.

 

My last purchase was from TDR...Mimikris It! Dress in carrot . The skirt is all short and fluffy (or is that feathery?)and i love it.

My inworld abscence has ended...I have moved to another country yet again. The bloke and I are are now in France and the almighty task of unpacking boxes has started.

52 Week Colour Challenge, Folly

Folly...another colour I have never heard of. A folly is either a female horse or a whimsical building to me.

I took the latter as inspiration and, having shopped over Valentine and not unpacked, I was happy to discover *SoliDea FoliEs* Valentina dress. This fun creation is wonderfully done. Basically a babydoll dress, with a huge skirt, with the bust and back covered in massive flowers and feathery type frongs. It's just fun to wear.

Keeping with the flowers I dug out Mstyle RIVEA Pumps V2 with their floral texturing they were just perfect to match the dress.

Plus keeping with the fun I chose a recent purchase of [ a.e.meth ] - Punk Princess Eyeshadow 1 over a 'nude' PXL skin as a base. This eyeshadow just screams pink, it was great to put it on. Fishy Strawberry lip gloss was added for the look.

Eyes were Miriel and hair was LeLutka.

52 Week Colour Challenge, Alice Blue

Alice Blue...not as dark as I would have thought.

Being a blue kinda gal you would think I would have a shed loads of this blue...wrong! So after a search and try on session I decided to show a Nicky Ree creation. The DNR Beautiful Galatea in silver teal is something out of fairy tales. It conjures up Tales of 1001 Arabian Nights and Sinbad. Beautifully designed and textured this piece speaks for itself. It even comes with hair accessories.

To compliment this piece I chose a PXL skin with Kyoot and Fishy Strawberry make ups. After some thought I chose a LeLutka hair and of course I had to go SLink barefoot.

The location was a wonderful build with a club and a harbour side souk. Please go explore for yourself this great little gem.

Red Brick… cool colour

After a quick look through my inventory I decided to show something that I can’t remember where it was from nor if the creator still exists. Naughty I know. The NJ***Lust is a pretty set of semi-lace undies that are both sexy and elegant. For such ancient pieces, for I bought them in my first 6months inworld, they still look as good today as they did back then.

Nicky Rees latest release, the DNR Ingrid Collection, contains stunning dresses. Above I am wearing the DNR Satin Lace Gown V2 in white. A simple, lace covered tulip corset sits atop a svelte skirt with train that has a lace over skirt. Gloves are included with this gown. Beautiful in both design and textures I think this is a must for any formal wardrobe.

Not shown is the DNR Ingrid Bridal Lace Gown V1 which is of the same material but with small differences in design. The corset top for this dress has a lace over top that elegantly clads the shoulders and arms in delicate lace. This gown includes 2 types of skirt...a svelte with train and a grand ballgown skirt...keeping any bride happy. Also included is a short veil made of the same lace as the overlayinglace of the gown. Demure and elegant I think it is a truly stunning bridal gown.

For the next couple of days the DNR Ingrid Satin Lace Gown V2 and the DNR Ingrid Bridal Lace Gown V1 are on group offer with 20% off the normal retail price. Both gowns are absolute head turners, so remember to put your group tag on and pop over to take advantage.

I haven't been taking these dresses off which just shows how much I love them.

52 Week Colour Challenge, Denim

Denim…interesting.


I have a few items of denim, mainly jeans, but not many. The exception to jeans that I’d like to show you is Garage’s denim mini skirt. It’s a sculpty skirt, adjustable, that has a front fastening that lies open. The system undies provide cotton panties, sexy in a grungy kind of way, and the pants layer provides the basis for the skirt. The textures are outstanding and the craftsmanship superb. A well worthy piece to have in ones inventory for those sexy biker moments.

52 Week Colour Challenge, Ruby

Ruby…hmmm. Lots of reds in my inventory but few that match this weeks challenge.

I eventually decided on an older piece by Uncle Wriggly. The colour of this system dress is predominately ‘ruby’ with green highlights. I still love these dresses and any excuse to wear them is fine by me.

I decided to have a bit of fun and used a freebie prop and pose I had picked up at a fair some time ago, xari’s pose and balloon are great to work with. The balloon is full modify so can be tinted or resized accordingly.

I know --another bride you say? Well at least this is a sophisticated late afternoon, evening outfit. It is Kerry from the late and still lamented Last Call. [NA] Ginny Talamasca was a very gifted designer whose work still stands up in the current world of sculpties, shadows and Frankenfeet. I'm wearing Kerry with Caroline Apollo's Carlotta set in Diamond, Lelutka's Lush hair in "Rita", Maitreya Gold Ixkin in Pearl and Eleganza bouquet by Nirvana.

5 Gold Rings....

OK…I had to get a festive title up and there are more than 5 gold rings in what I am blogging…lol
Now, I don’t usually do this but a friend, Mel, bought an amazing piece of jewellery last night and I managed to twist her rubber arm to let me shoot and blog about it.

The piece I am talking about is !Modern Gypsy! Statement Jewellery (Pride) in gold. Traditionally an African neck adornment to signify marriage worn by girls of the Ndebele people of South Africa. Also, The Kayan tribe or Padaung tribe of the Karen people from the border region of Myanmar and Thailand start wearing neck ornaments as children to stretch the neck. Modern Gypsy have put a contemporary twist to this piece by adding matching earrings.

The necklace is modify so adjustable, the textures and colour beautiful.

All that Glitters...

It started with the new LeLutka releases and a particular dress I was willing to purchase. It ended with a totally different dress…lol

The Maria dress in gold is pure Shirley Bassey. One shoulder strapped, sleek evening dress. It was love at first sight. A sculpty top and waist sash add cleverly to the design and style of this dress. Simple, elegant and stunning.

Then the hair dilemma, until I remembered the *X*plosion Kayli hair I bought not so long ago. This time I used the hair with diamonds littered in it. I also tinted the wide headband yellow then applied full shine to it…yeah…it turned gold before my eyes…lol.

The skin was also a dilemma. I tried quite a few on until I wore a [PXL] Grace skin. Perfect…such an elegant face without being over made up.

Shoes were easy…Detour Gold metallic pumps.

When I panned back I noticed the whole look lacked something...maybe a necklace…a choker even. I dived into my inventory and remembered Ryker Becks Czarina choker from her previous shop. Perfect.

Ms Bassey…watch out…there’s another diva about!
