OK, so...been a little lazy this week with the blogging.

 

However, I did go shopping and my first purchase was at Collabor8. A cool collection by some of the most talented designers. The [HANDverk] Rose Pumps caught my eye, so pretty. I love the rose back with the thorned stem as a heel. I liked them so much I got 2 colours...the ones I am showing here are Moss coloured. The only bugbear is that they look like system shoes of old when on, so cluncky ankles, but otherwise I love enough to wear them.

 

My second purchase was at Lellutka, via Gypsy Market. The BeStyle avi was wearing a hair to die for so I profiled it...now we have all done it, admit it ladies. [LeLutka]-MAGDALEN hair, streaked even. I just had to get it, I am sporting Bourneville_01 with the pony tail.

 

My last purchase was from TDR...Mimikris It! Dress in carrot . The skirt is all short and fluffy (or is that feathery?)and i love it.

 

The three items seemed to go together so..you have my look for this week, at least. The rest is listed below.

52 Week Colour Challenge, Raspberry Glace

 

 

  

Raspberry Glace....like the colour but seems more like mulberry to me.

 

Anyway, quick rummage in the old inventory and I came up with an old Leezu! hunt gift. I really like it. Unusual skirt teamed with a fabulous bustle (yep, still obsessed...lol). The texturing is very clever with the choice of textile pattern. Funky, fun yet still classy.

Baby, It's Cold Outside.

 

 

 

 

Now I am not going a bundle on mesh clothes at the moment because every mesh dress/gown I buy I have to tweak my shape. It seems even though I am a slightly teaked medium that I have to tweak for every mesh dress I get, even from the same designer. In fact, it turns out I am a small on the bottom, well...in general, and a medium on top, in general. Why oh why cant we have mesh distorters to adjust the item to fit our avis and not the other way round. At this rate I am going to have a zillion shapes in my inventory just for mesh clothing.

 

Anyway, rant over...on the whole I am steering clear of mesh dresses, gowns, skirts, tops, trousers, undies and swimwear. Having said that I have bought 3 coldLogic dresses in their sale this past week and only because they really suited me, with minor tweaks even after trying the demos.

 

The first 3 shots are of the Vergara dress, in strawberry and black/white. I Love the cross over bust halter neck top with the tube skirt. I love the texturing on the skirt, both the folds and the pattern. The whole creation is gorgeous. The pictures let the dress speak for itself. I liked it so much I bought 2 colours.

 

The last shot is of the Gish dress. A belted, classic two tone, tube dress. Simple and elegant. Again excellent design and texturing. I will be wearing it out and about inworld on a regular basis.

52 Week Colour Challenge, Tea Green

Tea Green...a delicate, pretty colour.

I searched my inventory and came across a recentish purchase from Elate! the Eva Spring Green Dress that I thought may fit the bill. A simple short dress with fantastic texturing, bands of silver 'corset' the dress giving it interest. On top of that a recent visit to one of the Dressing Rooms meant I could ensure the right palette by purchasing glow studios - mint roses hairband accessory, an over the top bloom of incredible detail.

I decided to go blonde with Truths Madelaine hair and simple complexion with my fav PXL skin with a touch of make up from *FishyStrawberry*. My eyes are the usual Miriels and the shoes are SLinks.

The only other item is a Finesmith Xenobia ring with colour and texture change options.

Hunt at Nicky Ree

Nicky Ree has a mini hunt on in her mainstore.

What are you looking for? The DNR Donna Collection in 10 colours. Each colour is boxed and priced at L$50. The collection consists of a simple short dress and matching lingerie. A choice of tops is given also from transparent to solid. The textures are divine, the net on the transparent top looks like you could touch it, the detail of it is wonderful.

I chose to show the undies…as that is more me…lol….and I’ll let the pictures do the rest. All the other styling details are listed below.
