52 Week Colour Challenge, Deep Pink & Lemon Chiffon

Deep Pink...always good fun for me as it is so not my colour. I visited the Pink Ribbon Event and purchased this Boom mesh dress. I was a litte saddened that the invisible prim was noticable above the bust line, so I succumbed and tweaked my shape so that it would disappear under the dress. Having said that it is one sexy dress. The inner panel is slimming whilst the design of the dress gives you curves. What more can a girl ask for...lol.

Lemon Chiffon...oh my! Another not so favourite colour. This time I reached for a Nicky Ree dress (the flowers have lemon chiffon in them). A slinky, sexy gown that is slit thigh high on the skirt with a peek-a-boo side torso window. A tulip bustline corset with a single strap sets off this dress wonderfully. Again, Nicky's hand drawn textures sing for themselves.

Wow! That's 6 colours in as many days...I might just catch up at this rate :)

BOOM Bloom

Ok, so I jumped on the Bloom Doll bandwagon. Even worse is that I am so slow at blogging it…lol.

After wearing my new Bloom Doll, by Sand Shack Surf Co., I suddenly realised I had the perfect outfit waiting for me to blog ( and yes, this too is late). Aranel Ah dropped me a bloggers pack which I decided to wear with this new purchase. The pack consisted of ‘A Day on a Yacht’ sailor dress, Deck shoes, a Sailor cap and a Lynx Skinny Belt. OMG so cute!! Everything is well made with excellent textures. The design is just perfect.

Wearing this sailor outfit with the Bloom Doll…overkill on cuteness…lol

The only thing left was the hair and, although no longer available, I knew that one of the ETD hairs tweaked would be ideal.

So…there you have it…a BOOM Bloom!

52 Week Colour Challenge, Umber

Umber…I have plenty of brown in my inventory but Umber? Hmm

I eventually plumped for my favourite beachwear by Boom. I also admit to being amiss and not noting any of the other items I am wearing…apologies.
So, short and sweet. Boom Infinity bikini, wearing boy shorts and halter neck…love them <3

Boom Bikinis

OK, so I have seen sooo many of you beautiful avis wearing and promoting the Boom bikinis that my twisted thinking went like this….you have too many bikinis already, you don’t need anymore. Then I weakened and teleported over to Boom. This shopping trip ended up being a bikini fest, I had to limit myself. I think I need help…lol.

Anyway, I did limit myself to 4 colours but being the indecisive avi that I am I bought the full packs. I am loving each bikini, whether string, raise, toushie or boyshorts and whether string or halter tops. The patterns are OH SO Pretty, the colour jewel like in their attractiveness and their designs wonderful. Well made with attention to detail, e.g. there are separate attachments for ‘ties’ for both top and bottoms depending on whether you go string or bigger. A little tweaking here and there and I was one seriously happy bunny.

Flight of Fancy

It all started with a picture Aemilia Case posted on plurk -- a hairstyle with a witch's hat. I asked for a version without a hat and she said it was coming. And here it is -- Twig Snap in Red Spice.




In IMs with Aems I suggested it looked like "cootie garages" and that it needed birds to make it complete, since it resembled a coiled bird's nest. I ended up attaching the HPMD* bluebird to my chin and editing ... and yes it's one of those that ^chirps^. I was able to make it small enough to nestle in my hair. I love the stray flying bits in the style as well as the slightly ragged-edged bangs.

Continuing the theme of flight I then added the *BOOM* Aranel's Wings (flared). These wings are beautifully made. I particularly like the bit of glow around the edges as well as the heart "plumb line."

The rest of my outfit I have blogged before: belt from Dark Mouse, MichaMi's Laila top in Cream, LF Fashion Isabeau leather pants in brown, J's ankle boots in sand and PXL Creation's Grace Natural cateyes/rose lips with freckles. My tattoo, barely visible, is the hart, thistle & thorn tattoo from ~silent sparrow~.
