52 Week Colour Challenge, Dark Raspberry

Dark Raspberry...now I recognise that...lol

This colour conjures up decadence and luxury for me so I delved into my recent purchases for a set of undies I remembered buying, again at a fair. *Fi-St*Lingerie - Incanto in red fitted the bill. It can be worn as a bra and knickers set or as a camisole and knickers set, both with and without garters and stockings. Wonderfully textured and beautifully designed I definitely felt decadent.

Gold Slink shoes kept with the decadence feel and I thought I'd keep the hair short with one of Love Souls creations, a square cut bob that is razor sharp and slick. I love my PXL nude skin so kept that on, along with Fishy lip gloss. I also added another recent purchase, a *LpD* MakeUp called*Not a Game* Only Eyes. Gives a fantastic Egyptian princess look.

After all that I was given a prop and pose TV by GM Nikolaidis of Fluke, at the suggestion of my dear friend Samara. What a perfect way to shoot for this challenge. The TV comes with 8 poses and rotates victorian pictures of women. I loved it...thank you Sam and thank you GM.

For Squinternet Larnia of Donna Flora

This post was initially to show support for Donna Floras creater Squinternet Larnia, which I decided to show by going to purchase something new from her shop even though I own quite a bit from her repetoire already. I shopped before I realised what this weeks colour challenge was. So, as time is short for me, I will blog this piece as both (and yes, its out of numerical order for me but hey). Here is my avocado colour challenge.

Donna Flora for me means stunning detail and beautiful designs. When I saw Katie I fell in love. A tulip corset sits atop a puffball skirt with a difference. The front is open to a waterfall of chiffon frills that turn into a peek-a-boo undeskirt. The waist is synched with a huge chiffon flower with exteme foliage. Both delicate and bold. The candy striped texture is the icing on the cake. This is definately an event dress to make a statement with. 

Every item that comes from Donna Flora is created with the same love for detail. This can also be seen in the jewelry she creates. I purchased, at the same time, Donna Floras Linda set. Every flower and leaf have veins,even the clasp at the back is intricate. A delicate, beautiful compliment to Katie.

To round off the look I chose a PXL skin, Love Soul hair, Miriel eyes, Fishy lipgloss and SLink shoes.

IFW10: SWANSONG's Mirage and Wisp

Before the International Fashion Week 2010 I never realized that AtomicSparkle Skytower of Atomic Bambi had another brand, SWANSONG. Obviously I do now and am happy I have been introduced. She kindly made Wisp and Mirage available to me to show you.



Both dressed share a tight strapless bodice and a full skirt, but then they diverge. Wisp is a luxurious intricately wrapped and draped dress, while Mirage is softer and floaty with a more corset-type bodice. Both are beautiful and available in a number of colors. I'm showing Wisp in Lavender and Scarlet. Skin is PXL Creations' new Candy in Natural with red lips and Cateyes with pale lips. Hair is Love Soul's *023-A* in Auburn. Shoes for the Lavender are Vanessa by Lyra Muse, no longer available. Jewelry is the Diamond Vine Silver from Dex's Jewelry. For the Scarlet Wisp I'm wearing slingbacks in Rose & Gold from Stiletto Moody and the New Grazia necklace and earrings from Lucas Lameth.


I'm wearing Mirage in Mint Green and Nude. Unlike the sculpty skirt of Wisp which moves as a unit, this skirt is flexi and floats. The jagged edge works more softly that it looks in a static picture. Skin is PXL's Candy Cateyes/Pale Lips in Natural, shoes again by Lyra Muse. Jewelry is from Dark Mouse. the Vintage 50's Diamond Pearl Set. Hair is !lamb Bang Bang Bob in Rotten Carrot.
