New from Elika and First from Mouse!

This is a hair blogging day. I'm wearing one of Elika's new styles in the new [and wonderful] textures, as well as Mouse Mimistrobell's first hair. I'm wearing both styles with ETD's Scoop Neck Tops and Callie Cline's new jeans, plus Detour and Tommyboy sneakers. My skin is my new custom one from Soda Designs.



The first style I'm sharing is one of ETD's new styles in Elika's all new textures, Torwen in Auburn. It is very loose, wish yummy alpha bits that flutter and give the hair a lightness despite it's bulk. Welcome back Elika! My jewelry is Primagine's RFL Everday set donated to help riaise money for cancer research. You can get it in her store on Kilimarta as well as the Passionate Redheads RFL Shop on Sacre Bleu.




Next is Mouse's first and, so far, only hairstyle [will get name when inworld next] in Dark Blonde. It was an April Group Gift. Those of us on Plurk have been commenting on various stages in the development of this style and, I have to say, for a first attempt it is light years better than much that I have seen around the grid. I love the wavy bang across the forehead and the straight long ponytail from the poofed back. Mousie -- please make it in red :) Jewelry is the new Gaea necklace from Lucas Lameth in Coral & Gold. It's a bit dressy for the outfit, but it's *my* Second Life (tm)

The Gloves Have It!

Since I cannot enter the Fleur Gloves Flickr Contest myself, you get a gloves blog today:)

Both pairs are from the new Brights Pack, now available at the Fleur sim in The Clothing Store. and both lovely dresses were gifts:)




First I am wearing Callie Cline's Citron Lane dress in Crimson with our crimson gloves. My dress was a Christmas present from a good friend <3. I really like the system skirt with the prim bustle and train. So many long formals swallow me whole. This one doesn't.

Shoes look like ETD's D'Orsay stilettos in black. Hair is Heather in auburn burnt, also ETD, bought at the super sale that runs through the 9th. I'm pretty sure my skin is Fleur Allure Lounge 2 in Truffle. Jewelry is Alienbear's Teardrop Pearls in black.




SySy Chapman was kind enough to give the ladies free formals for the party that closed down The Big Apple sim just before New Year's. I found the black one really perfect for my shape. I'm wearing it with the Fleur Long Gloves in Saffron, along with the Alienbear Teardrop Pearls in yellow. Skin is the same. Hair is ETD's Patricia in auburn burnt and you can't see my feet:)

And I'm looking forward to help choosing the winners in the Fleur contest!

Sum ... Sum ... Summertime:)

For some reason when I dress for summer in Phil's Place I end up in green, yellow and orange. It must have something to do with the sun I guess ;) So here are two quick summertime outfits from my inventory.

First is the relatively new Pixel Dolls Dotted Wrap in Orange which I have paired with Callie Cline's "Eastern Inspiration" Jeans. The little bit of color on the pockets helps tie the outfit together I think. My shoes are the *GF* T-Strap Sandal Rose in Orange. The detailing is great with little beaded bits that pick up the blue of the jeans. Hair is ETD Maaliyah in copper burnt. Skin is Fleur Boutique Parfait Deux, #1 I think, in strawberry. The semi-transparent fluttery prim cap sleeves are delightful, stirring up a small welcome breeze in the summer heat.


My second outfit was tossed together on the fly when my Phil's Place bro, Daaneth, took me for a ride in his new car. Naughty us, we roared down the Relay for Life track the day after the Relay finished. No one seemed to mind. I am wearing ETD Jessica II [a 1 linden style], which fortunately has a hat well attached to your pixels. This is Jessica II in copper burnt. I am wearing an older Simone dress, Sun Spot Baby, with the HAYSURIZA-MIKI Spring Wedge. My necklace is one of the new ones from Gisele. My skin is Fleur Boutique Parfait Deux #4 in strawberry. My sunglasses, necessary for that ride in the open convertible are ETD's Aviator in Gold.

Before the season gets away!

I thought I should post what I've been wearing around the grid, in the Christmas spirit ;). The freebie frenzy was nice while it lasted, but to be honest, after a couple of rounds I only went to a few of my favorite places in order to avoid further inventory bloat. For a small avi I have a BIG inventory [most of it ETD hair of course ;)] and waiting for it to load is trying my patience! [Time to find a quiet island and do some serious pruning and sorting.]

Okay -- The pants and the hair are NOT from the Christmas rush. They are SWA's silk pants in red [I must have them in every color by now LOL] and ETD's new style "Emily", a current favorite of mine, in caramel.

Starting at the top -- the antlers are from Callie Cline, given to me by a friend for Christmas. Second Mirage provided the Christmas tree earrings for free next to their advent calendar :) The green sweater was a group gift from Persona. The necklace was a L$ 15 holiday special from JCNY and the boots-- SIGH -- are the Ziggy ones from Tesla -- amazingly cute and, despite the high heel very wearable.

I did acquire more "loot" than this, but there is a limit to an avi's attachment points LOL. So as we head for [hopefully] a safe and sane New Years let's give a huge HURRAH to all the content creators who made out holiday shopping much more fun!
