Two 52 Week Colour Challenges, Dandelion & Aqua

Dandelion...hmmm, no matter what it's called I still don't do yellow.

I went shopping in Decoy and came across these pretty shorts and well placed scarf. The shorts are simple and system, available in a wide range of pretty colours. The scarf is the real star. Clever design and beautful texturing are the key features. Even in 'yellow' I still love it.

Aqua...now there's a colour I adore.

I rooted through my inventory until I came upon a Nicky Ree dress that I had forgotten I had. The DNR Pretty Petal Dress is a floaty summer dress with short sleeves and quite a daring neckline. Again, Nickys hand drawn texturing makes this dress vibrant and alive. It made me think beach so that's where I went to shoot. Worn it a few times since rediscovering it.

I chose AOHARU sandals as their pretty earthstones matched my dress and kept with the beach theme. Also, with matching stones was $GaNKeD$ Arizona necklace. Both these creations pulled the look together.

Skin was PXL, eyes.... and hair Fri.day.

52 PERIWINKLE

After having used the same skirt twice in service of 2 blue posts I was tearing out my pixel hair by the roots, until Anessa Stine of DCNY dropped her new Linen Tunic on me and the color included "Sky". PHEW! The primmy bits edited easily and voilà, "periwinkle." The Denim Vintage Capris I am wearing are from ETD and no longer available, but I thought the texture worked well with Anessa's tunic. Further down are the TomBoy Sneakies in Blue. I love these because they come in a tied and untied version, from long before scripts did all that work for us.

Latex Lady

I'm not normally a fan of latex body suits, but when sachi Vixen dropped her latest on me my defenses melted. This is sexy yes, but it's also lady-like latex, if there is such a thing. Maybe it's the flowers, hence its name, Florette, or maybe it's the classy shine or the elegant neckline. Who knows? But I was smitten. sachi's latex collection is available at Adam & Eve's mainstore on Genesis. Go slink into some.

In the middle image I added the Comfort Skirt from Pixel Dolls.

52 SIENNA

Ah Sienna--a wonderful reddish-brown earthy tone for redheads. I'm happy :)

A search on sienna in my inventory didn't reveal much, but I managed by sneaking in a little more reddish brown. I started with an older Simone Cuddly Sweater in Sienna [NA]. My belt is also an older Shiny Things Pouch Belt in "Reddish." Looked like sienna to me ;) Hair is an old ETD Aveda style called Short-Crop in Sienna, alas [NA]. My trousers are from Last Call's Magdalena pants suit in Red [NA]. Boots are from Pixel Mode called Rhea, also in Red. I'm wearing an Infinity Skin aka *blowpop* -- Carmen in Raw Sienna. [NA]

52 Green (which it's easy to be!)

Unlike Kermit, as a SL redhead, "being green" is easy for me. Doing a search on "green" would bring up half my inventory. So, for this 52 Challenge I actually bought something new. Well Neferia Abel made it easy [there's a theme here...] by putting her new dress, Joanie, which just happened to come in green, on sale that week! The velvet texture as well as the butterfly belt, little butterflies on the sleeve and the beautifully fitted blouse make for a perfect green. My earrting are actually shamrocks from GANKED, but they looked enough like butterflies to get the nod.

52 Week Colour Challenge...Cerise

Cerise…well, I am not a huge fan of pink but I do kind of like cerise. That said I don’t have much in the way of cerise in clothing.

After a short search I rediscovered Mimikri’s gift of a while ago, the Seduction hot pink. A system, knee length dress made of beautiful lace. The beautiful touch being the wide waistband sash and big bow at the back made from satin. It reminds me of a cocktail and contemporary version of the Monroe dress when she sang Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend.

I used PXL Creations Candy skin, Lime, to compliment and contrast the dress.

I found a couple of Dressing Room treats that matched this chic dress…*YS&YS* Stiletto Baby and booN LOK255 hair pink. Then another gift finished the look, GaNKeD Suri Rose necklace and earrings.

Thinking about what to do for the shoot I remembered a Juicy gift, Shopping Girl, with pose and shopping bag props. To add to this I also used a recent purchase of DM poses, Toxic Model and Exquisite.

They are RED!

I am visiting friends in Macedonia. They are at work and SL is down, so *finally* I blog!

I bought the Red Python shoes at the last Moody sale after craving them for ever so long. OK they are not the best shoes on the grid, so I'm a shoe slut. Cope!




I discovered [and fell in love with] Tomoto at the RFL Clothing Fair and bought this new dress called "summer" I think at the Fantasy Faire. It comes with two skirts, but I like the one with the yellow underskirt showing. Hair is Amrita. I couldn't find them recently so I guess they've poofed :( Earrings are the Suri from GANKED. Skin is an unreleased one from PXL Creations.



This is a mash-up with my new favorite trousers from Narwhal. The primmy bits are superb. I wish they made these in other colors. Top is an old one from First Impressions. The hair is Nantes from Tiny Bird, which I adore. Skin is Curio Breeze Mudslide 2 in Petal. Jools are from the talented hands of Jori Watler of alaMood.
