52 MULBERRY

Thanks again to Luna Jubilee for the 52 week color challenge. It's been quite a ride! I've taken the tack of combing my inventory for items to wear, and in the case of MULBERRY, I waxed nostalgic...

I'm wearing Claire in Raspberry [NA] from Mischief, Janie Marlowe's well-know and love brand before she rebranded as just Janie. I bought it to wear to my art opening at Tricia Aferdita's gallery in the long gone Cetus Art District. It still wears well! The skin is a memory lane visit also--*blowpop* Elizabeth tone2 in Mulberry Wine, still available. The hair is from RubisoHo in wine and is called Duri. The store still exists. Shoes are new, from Pixel Mode, the Lady T's, a kind gift from Jori Watler.

52 PINK

When I heard that this week was PINK I knew exactly what to wear:) As my friends know I am a part-time furrie, thanks to my late sweet pink fox friend, Artistic Fimicoloud. It took me a while, but I finally found my "inner critter" in the Cheetah. I have this avatar by Cheetah Kitty in several colors, but during Relay for Life of Second Life season [now underway] you can often find me in this pink one. She's particularly good on the relay track as she runs on all fours and leaves a puff of dust in her wake. So clear the track, cheetah sam is baaaaaaack...

Anyway... PINK it is and I'm not wearing much else.

From Copley Square

As many of you know I work for the Copley Square shopping sim. Normally I try to keep work and blogging apart, but when I found myself wearing and posing "a la CS" I decided to blog:)

The dress is from MIU, a new one called Astray. It comes with many more parts than I am wearing [leggings, armwarmers, cowl neckpiece etc...], but the basic dress plus shrug felt right for me.The design and textures are nicely done and the dress is a fun one to wear. I've paired it with the new Kanins Promenade boots, still at a promo price until Thursday I believe. Eleven colors in one slick, stylish boot. Not bad. My 3rd CS item are the poses from Gesticulate, a new store that is new to Copley too!

Otherwise I am wearing Eha hair, Violet Voltaire's "No Love Lost" in Iron, Blowpop fishnets (R) and my favorite PXL Creations skin Candy with cateyes and bronze lips. (R)

Tarty Sam

Yup I'm a tart, thanks to hyasynth Tiramisu's new Kurai Tart. It shares the design elements of the original Kurai Suit, but adds a skimpy, lacy, dare I say "tarty" skirt, which I am wearing in Brass. It includes the wonderful arm-warmers. Be sure to look at the intricate lace on the edges. And under is a pair of even skimpier, yet nicely detailed panties. This is an exceptional outfit for any pixel tart.

Accessories:
Honey Topaz Birthstone Necklace from Pen's Jewelry (only one of many beautiful colors)
Black Fishnets from *blowpop* (the best on the grid!)
Prestige Boots by Bax Coen in Brown Suede (OK I'm a shoe slut-so sue me!)

Basics:
Skin: PXL Creations' July SpringRose in Natural
Hair: Truth's Grazia in Copper

Tussi from Mimikri

I have to be honest and say that, after an early fascination with the creations from Mimikri, I became less interested. But with Tussi I'm back:) What I love the most is the semi sheer system skirt with the prim overlay. There are three plays on "diamond" here, system, prim diamond shapes reflecting the system skirt and then the actual "diamonds." It comes in many colors, but I chose Sand as I think it reveal some of the subtleties of the design.

Other items worn:
Fishnets in Pearl from *blowpop*
Heel Strap Platforms in Linen from ETD
PXL Creations July NAT SpringRose MEB
Sparkling Spheres Stud earrings from Paper Couture
The Knife in Caramel from Tiny Bird
Poses are from Reel Expression

A Long Wait for July ...

Hart Larsson of PXL Creations has finally released his July skins. Why so long? Because Hart is a perfectionist. And with July he has nigh well achieved it! When I was given a peek at a beta back in July I was totally hooked on Kim and didn't think July would work for me, but whatever magic took place, July is now my November skin:) I'm showing you three of the makeups in the Natural tone, the one that suits me best. I am a total sucker for PXL's Spring makeups, particularly the rose ones with soft shadow drawn out to the sides of the eyes. I also am addicted to Hart's freckles. One thing I admire in July is that the collarbonre is just in the right balance with the face. Sometimes you have a beautiful face parked on wire hanger collarbones --not here!

The body continues the lovely consistency. I wanted you to see the bum in the center and the push-up cleavage [in my case pushing up not much!] on the right. Cleavage seems to be the new black and PXL does it well.

I'm wearing Blowpop's scrummy undies, Yvette in Burgundy and my hair is Exiles Fastball in Pyre. Otherwise it's all PXL all the way :)

Snuggling in for the winter...

It's getting d**n cold here now, and even with the sun out, the brisk wind is a not so gentle reminder of what's to come. So I've been wandering around my beach house wearing legwarmers LOL.

But it's all an excuse to wear Elinor from DCNY. I seldom shop there, but I fell for the colorful bird on the sweater and the fluttery and a bit ragged skirt. I would have preferred a prim belt to the one on the system layer, but that's a small beef. My earrings are Miel's 50 Linden Friday ones from yesterday, which are perfect with this cold season look. Stocking are Ajour in Mud from Mimikri. The big story are the legwarmers though. I tried everywhere. I had a friend ask on Fashion Emergency [a casualty of the 25 group limit], but finally I bought the ones at Ducknipple. But alas they didn't match, so I copied the right ankle prim and plopped it on my left ankle and edited. And yes, those are Stiletto Moody's Bitch Booties peeking out.

The main events are Truth's Cameron hair in Auburn. It's one of the most flattering styles for me in a long while. Same deal with the new N2 Elizabeth skin from the most generous, Annyka Bekkers. I'll show you more soon, but this is the Granny Apple 2.2, that is, the second makeup in Tone B. The light smattering of face freckles are a real delight.

I fell in love with Linnea from Angel Dessous on the feed. I struggled over the color in the store, but in the end the Beige won out because the sparkly parts on the belt and sleeve were more subtle and it reminded me of snow. It comes with the long socks, as well as many other variations on the neckline, including a hoodie version. Maitreya's Bloom boots in white came out of hiding to complete the look. Hair is fri.day's Allison in Scornful Red, skin is my new standby, Kim Spring Rose in Natural. My earrings are Ice Queen from Random Calliope, a present from my fellow blogger, Noena.

Feline Felice-ity

I'm late to the party, but with undies as fine as these, there can never be enough bloggage. Annyka Bekker's foray into lingerie has been stunning. I blogged Yvette earlier, but now it's Felice's turn :)

I'm showing Felice's meticulously textured leopard print in several of the many available colors and in both the long and scanty style panties. On the left I'm supposed to be wearing a mini-skirt prim, but they and I do not normally get along very well. So I didn't even try --instead I went for the longer retro look.

Other details:
Shoes: Precious in black from Zhao, tinted for each color
Skin: Grace Natural Cateyes/Flamenco Lips from PXL Creations
Hair: Ava from Dernier Cri in Red, tinted slightly to suit.

Otherwise it's just "Feline Felice-ity"!

Yvette from Annyka Bekkers

Annyka Bekkers of *blowpop* fame has been teasing us on plurk with her new undies for what seems like forever. Yvette [shown above] was one of the first to make it inworld and her perfectionist streak is showing. Yvette is modest, a bit retro with detailed lace that just hugs your curves. What is also wonderful about her lingerie is that the colors are realistic undies colors, not just some wild colors made to shock. I'm wearing it in pink and loving it!

Shoes are the color change Precious in Silver from Zhao. The bows on the back go beautifully with lacy little things :) Hair is from Exile, Fastball in Eclipse, although I have tinted the light parts a muted red. Skin is PXL Creations for sure, possibly Kim with rose lips, but to be honest I am not sure :(
