When I headed to the Skin Fair now going on at the KMADD Events sim to pick up demos, there was one skin I knew I wanted. That was Tuli's Bella Natural in Fair. Tuli had been kind enough to send demos out to her inworld group so I could just buy on the spot.
Having secured that I struggled through the lag to League, Pink Fuel &, finally, Curio, where I made an expensive mistake:( I accidentally BOUGHT a Vixen skin in Sundust, rather than getting the demos. It's a lovely skin, but I was leaning towards Breeze II in Petal. So my "warning" is ... make VERY sure it's the demo box that you're clicking :( Particularly in the gray lag sea of the fair.
First up is what I came for, the Tuli Bella and boy is she!! The modeling, the freckles make Bella a combination of wise and innocent. I'm wearing Adam n Eve's Dorsal in Aqua. The textures make this a very elegant dress. My hair is ETD Tyra in Auburn Burnt, a great low lag "do" for fairs. On my feet are the Zhao Precious Silver, which are color change and very useful with dress-up clothes or lingerie. My jewelry is all posts is from Dark Mouse. In all except the last picture it's Divine Deco in Gold.
Next up is my "mistake", Vixen Pure in Sundust. It photographs better than it looks on me inworld, but the gloss on the right is quite wearable. And it never hurts to have a few suntans in your inventory. On the left I am wearing Last's Call's Elizabeth [Diva] in RED. This is also elegant, but verry slinky. On the right it's Adam n Eve again, my namesake dress, Samara, in Apple. It comes in many luscious colors and has a lingerie option that is pretty hot.
The Curio I had originally wanted was Breeze 2. I gritted my teeth and robbed my "bank alt" because Breeze 2 Mudslide in Petal was irresistable. Both of the makeups suit. If you don't know, Curio offers you two related skintones, two makeups and freckle or not for the 1k they cost. So when everything suits, it's a real deal! I'm wearing another Last Call, the Bass dress, which was one of my first purchases from LC back at one of their sales in early 2007. Shoes are Adam n Eve's Babii in Black. These shoes are so smooth that they should be illegal. Jewelry remains Dark Mouse, this time Vintage Marcasite in Silver. Hair is a new favorite Fastball in Pyre that I picked up at the Exile sale.
And to close, a blast from the past. My first good skin was Gala Sparse Medium. It looks pretty bare now, but it was my skin for many months. I use it now to adjust eyelashes :) On the right is my second good skin, Gala Shale in Medium. I can see the development trajectory and, in many cases, progress in skins, but the softness and perfection of these have a lovely innocence about them. I wear the Shale from time to time because I adore that mouth and the shading. Sometime "old" is "as good as new."

There is Hope
My rl has been overwhelmed by a new job so I haven’t been inworld much of late. As such I missed most of what has happened to Rebel Hope. I still wanted to post something, so apologies for it being late, here it is...
It seems there is hope for creators who are victims to content theft and hopefully the justice served in this case will just be the start.
My heart went out to Rebel Hope and RH Engel, to have all their creations stolen, and so blatantly, must be devastating. Here I want to show just how creative and talented they are by showing one of their costumes…. Rebel Hope Designs, Cleopatra.
The detail in design and texture is wonderful in both clothes and jewellery. The addition of props and a pose pure genius.
Thank you Rebel Hope for your imagination and creativity. Hopefully this horrid situation will pass and your work will continue to flourish.

Ready and Willing for L'Abel
When Neferia dropped these dresses on me I was ready and willing to give them a try:) What I am able to say now is that these two dresses, Emelie and Mellie, are 1,000 times more wonderful than they are "on the rack"
The store displays do NOT do these two dresses credit. The textures and prims are really well done, as is the system skirt for Emelie. Mellie comes with its own gloves and Emelie has a silver bolero with the most adorable buttons up the back.

Whatsa "FuseMelon"?
A "FuseMelon" is what happens when Aemilia Case gets the itch to create. Housed on the Descolada sim [as is a smaller version of her former brand, Philotic Energy], FuseMelon showcases Aems' new clothes, new jewelry & other accessories AND her all new, totally splendiferous hair textures.
First is my very favorite of her new styles, City Life. I'm wearing it in Red Spice. It is a beautifully realized style that I will have trouble taking off. My pearls are from *FM* also, called the Forget Me Knot Pearls. I'm wearing them in antique. See the picture below to see how the knot works.
Here I am wearing two of the other new styles available. On the left is Two Hearts. on the right Another Trance, both in Red Spice. I'm wearing the Forget Me Knot Pearl earring and necklace in the duotone set of cream & black. This is one of the nicest set of pearls I've seen in a long time. Simple yet elegant.
In both sets of pictures I'm wearing Adam n Eve Skin - Siren - Berry - Tone 3 and Poetic Colors eyes
FuseMelon also has a nice selection of handbags and messenger bags. This is the Flower Power Purse in Berry. The hair, Seeking Me, comes with its color-change hat. I am wearing it in Sugar. My dress is Second Date in Spring from 5th & Oxford. Skin is my trusty PXL Creations Kim in Natural/Rose Lips. Shoes are Maitreya's Shanti in eggplant.

When our good friend, Jaydie Sapeur, heard what had happened to Rebel Hope and RH Engel, she went out and bought Rebel's beautiful Ginger dress She dropped me a picture and I asked if I could blog it. So here is Jaydie, who has known Rebel for donkey-eons, looking totally fabulous in Ginger by Rebel Hope Designs.
There is good news though as Linden Labs has apparently stepped up to the plate and deleted the stolen content from the grid.
Jaydie's details:
Skin: Adam n Eve Pandora in Primrose
Hair: Truth - Elizabeth 2 in Burgandy
Eyes: Burrough's
Jewerly: RH Engel - Prey Platinum

In Support of Rebel Hope & RH Engel
You can read the ugly details of the stealing of these two fine creators' work here.
I don't have the audience of a Tenshi or the ability to make them whole again, but what I CAN show you are some of their creations that I paid for with my own lindens. That's MY way of saying that stealing content is WRONG. And stealing a person's livelihood is beneath contempt.
The work is beautiful. Go and buy all you can at the store please! Don't let the immoral lowlife slugs of this world win.
I'll have more styling details later, but the three dresses designed by Rebel Hope I am showing you are: Trouble, Celebration and Bacarra. With the last dress I am wearing RH Engel Jewelry - Prey Platinum.

Heigh-ho! Come to the Fair!
The Jewelry Fair that is-- now being held until September 27 on two specially designed sims, built as a maze and themed to the seasons. Eolande Elvehjem and her busy elves have made this a relatively easy fair to circumnavigate. It is a continuous maze which ensures, unless you are like me and get turned around easily, that you see everything if you just keep walking. After some false starts I have made the trip. Due to a shortage of $$ I didn't buy much, but did want to share a bit of the loot.
First Violet Voltaire is baaaaaaaaaack :) YAY!!! While I liked her dollie faces, I ended up buying the Love in a Void Necklace in Black. The matching bracelets were dollarbies at her booth, so that ends up being a bargain as well as some superb jewelry.
In the middle is a simple bead necklace in beautiful fall colors from KunstKammer. And it was only L$100. On the right is my big purchase from Uzuri, the Anganasa earrings and necklace. Very ethnic with beautiful textures.
I did buy a lovely set from Eclectica, but I'm waiting for a replacement as the weekend inventory monster ate it :(
Kraftika has a booth at the Fair, but this beautiful collar, called no. 134, was dropped on me by its creator, Anuitka Barthelmess, and since I didn't see it at the booth I am showing it separately. It also comes in black metal, but I'm not seeing it in the store yet either. UPDATE: I was informed it was a group gift.
Other details:
Hair: 078 from kyoko's Hair Shop in White Well
Skin: Grace Natural Cateyes/Flamenco Lips with Freckles :)
Eyes: Poetic Colors--Lavender Fields
Don't miss the Jewelry Fair-it's well worth your time!

Pearls, Pearls, Poses & Pearls...
When I saw a couple of blogs featuring this joint venture of *SiSSi* string pearls and Glitterati poses I just knew I had to buy some. I am always on the look out for new, unusual poses, so these caught my eye.
I did go a little mad and buy the fat pack of each, as jewellery and poses are sold separately. Six poses each with their own set of pearls, when combining the two purchases. To accommodate the poses each set of pearls comes in 3 or 4 strings so that you can modify and link them to the size of your avatar. Having an Amazonian avatar, as Sam keeps reminding me, I tweaked a fair bit until I was happy. For this shoot, I even tinted them a dark grey to give a black pearl effect.
Now, yet again…I am going to sing the praises of a creator/designer. Having unpacked all 6 sets and organised them, I successfully tweaked 5 sets of the pearls. The sixth set I found to be ‘no modify’ which was very frustrating. I contacted Sissi String to gain advice. She in turn spent time and energy trying to correct what was, in all accounts, an inworld glitch. I believe 3 times she resent that set of pearls and twice the same outcome. Eventually she succeeded in sending a modify version and I got to play…lol.
Thank you Sissi for you help, time and patience. You are a star and I wish everyone were as kind and considerate as you were in replying to my query. Her customer service was outstanding.
These pearls and their poses are great fun and I just had to share them with you. Go get them now!
PS. Yes, for once I have posted a truly Photoshopped image. More images to come soon on my Flickr site http://www.flickr.com/photos/furystapleton/3933934094/

Pink and punk... with a hint of Asian!
I haven't done a proper "freebie post" for a while, and it's about time. But this one's about freebies of a special kind, meaning you can't just go grab them at the stores - they need some extra work.
First of all, the dress... oh the dress. When Miko Omegamu of *Icing* released Chinoiserie, I was in sighs at its gorgeousness, but then I was a bit disappointed that it would only be available in red - since a flame red dress on my redheadedness would be, I think, redness overload. However, hope sprung in my heart when I saw this newer release, Imperial Blossom, a more casual redux of the first one. The version I'm wearing for the pics is the special edition available through Miko's lucky chair - although, of course, those who are not terribly into waiting for their letter to come up (or into pink) can just hop over to the vendor and buy it, as it can be purchased normally, too.
When I tried it on, however, I knew I was in danger of doing girly or über-cute... and since sometimes I prefer to go the hard way, I decided right away that some black leather would be the ideal way of accessorising pink silk - so I rescued my much-used ETD Leather Ring Wristband. But... (Recurring dilemma!) What about the shoes? Oh yes! Perfect! Just last month was the Creators Stamp Rally, in which I participated and got a few nice gifts. I hadn't put my rewards to good use yet, among them the *COCO* Ankle Wrap Wedges, so I tried them on and... voilà , just the desired effect!
Continuing with the Asian theme of the dress and of the CSR hunt, I chose a slightly messy bun on my hair, Cassie in Jealous Red from the Fri.day sale (but - argh - I forgot to add a couple of chopsticks). Tuli had of course included the perfect makeup for this colour combo in the Hope fatpack - it's called Avenue, with a subtle green eyeshadow and glossy pink lips. I can't get enough of these skins. The eyes (in the exact shade of the eyeshadow) are Miriel's Strong Green, with Glamour lashes.
Poses, as per usual, are Long Awkward Pose's - much to my disappointment, I couldn't make it to the Poop Hunt this year, but I hope those of you who went got bucketloads of shite.

"These Boots Are Made for Walkin"
And dancing and prancing and ... wearing around SL in general. Thanks to Damen Gorilla's creativity, they are all MINE. And thanks also to Damen I am poorer LOL. I KNEW I wanted the Fawn ones the minute I saw the ad picture on Plurk.
I pretty much wore them with what I had on for the last post, except I exchanged the blue checked gauze shirt for the L$1 pink one, matching my new boots nicely:) The closeup on the right shows the lovely rounded collar as well as the Dead Fish Earrings in Silver from Dark Mouse.

Humming along...
This post could also be titled "I (heart) Beaning Canning." As well as "I (heart) Samara Cioc. The reasons will be come clear :)
The post started with the check gauze shirt in blue from ::humming::, which came to my attention via Beanie's blog, Beanie Loves Japan, a resource for all of us who enjoy the Japanese creators in SL, but lack the language skills or time to seek out what Beanie so generously shares with us. The texture and collar are totally sweet. I paired the shirt with the Whippet & Buck Stein tailored shorts in Indigo and my favorite summer soles, SueShoo in White from Periquita.
My poses are from [pda] aka Penny Dreadful Arcade. Samara Cioc's poses are full of quirkiness with many drawing on film imagery. It was fun to break out of the modeling pose range for this outfit. So many thanks to Beanie and Samara :)

New Dreams ...
Estelle Parnell's new Glamazon Monique corset and feather skirt in blue is an amazing concoction of feathers and laces. You get three very different light and feathery skirts. In the middle image I am wearing the glitch pants for the closed skirt because I wanted you to see just how feathery the feathers are and how careful Estelle has been with the details, even those you don't see.
Jori Watler, of Pretties has taken to jewelry design with as much éclat as she did to shoes. Her new brand, > alaMood <, will open soon. Keep an eye out! This is the Alkahi Dew Choker & earrings.

"Needs a Title" Post
After Fury's last fabulous post title I am at a loss. However, what I am showing you is far from that state. It involves a number of my favorite fashion houses as well as a sparkling new necklace from ICoN, the jewelry outlet of the very creative blogger, Surarin Piek.
I'm wearing MichiMi's Noomi dress in coffee/mint with the new ICoN necklace in Jade and Gold. ICoN's jewelry is always fashionable and never boring. AND it is not expensive -- only L$200. for the necklace in Jade AND Rose. And am I the only one that thinks that Milla makes the best browns on the grid?
Other details:
Samara shoes in Jade [Adam n Eve]
Truth Elizabeth2 hair

A Feast of Undies
After seeing WTWs new underwear on Beanie Loves Japan! blog I popped over there and took a look at the new creations. I picked up 3 sets that appealed to me. All the underwear from WTW has excellent textures, colours and design. They are sexy, girl next door type undies…not out and out sex siren. I love them.
This purchase coincided with my visit to Attituede and being like a kid in a candy store, it was a question of restraint. I picked up the Swing! which is a wooden seated swing with flowers and four poses. I thought it an ideal way of showcasing the underwear.
Then I had a meadow full of flowers in my head as a location shoot. It had to be somewhere I could rezz objects too. So, I scanned one of the Flickr groups until I saw such a location. It’s wonderful and I will go back to explore more:

Siren Sam
When sachi Vixen of Adam n Eve asked on Plurk if any blogger would like to review her new exotic skin, Siren, I thought what the heck. So I'm normally pale and redheaded -- let's give this a try. And I have to say that Siren is pretty amazing.
The face modeling is a bit dramatic, with a very small beauty mark. I photographed the Berry & Cherry makeups as they suited my avi better than the naturals. I wore my usual eyes and hair colors. I tried the darkest tone on first and was stunned. VERY different, but still Sam. For me Tones 2 & 3 are very wearable so expect to see me wandering around for a bit in them :) I love the eyeshadow on both Berry & Cherry. Thanks to sachi for letting me see Sam in a new and lovely light!

Golden Breeze
It started with me browsing the fashion feed and coming across, imho, the most amazing set of in world jewellery I have seen in a long time. I wanted this set badly…lol…and, as I don’t normally wear jewellery, this was an event for me.
The set in question was Gems & Kisses – Satin in Gold. After I had bought it I got rl sidetracked so did not open it for a couple of days. When I did I was eager to see what the pieces looked like. First, I wore the earrings, a crazy circular mesh of gold balls, with long piercing posts…wonderful. Then I tried on the necklace, choker in fact…not seen here….and loved the twisted circles of gold that wove around my neck. It contains a resize script so I adjusted slightly. Lastly, I tried on the bracelets, these match the choker in design.
At this point I was disappointed as the bracelets were too small and even after repositioning them they still did not fit. I tried editing them only to find them ‘no mod’. I was gutted. I decided to im the creator, Deliziosa Vendetta, to see if she could help me. What a star! She resent the bracelets with the resize script in them….wonderful! The bracelets now fitted. I only wish more creators were this helpful, Deliziosa was prompt to respond and very sweet. Thank you!
I was wondering what to wear this beautiful new set with when my partner in crime, Samara Barzane, let me know that Zaara had released a new colour in her Black Swan dress, Vayu. We tp’ed to Zaara and stared at the beautiful breeze blue dress. I have to admit I baulked a little at the price but after 24 hours I was still in awe of it so I went back and purchased it.
When trying it on I knew I wanted to wear my new jewellery too, in the end without the choker. Using one of Fleur Shoujo skins, Miriels Eyes and ETD hair I knew my look was complete.
I ended up shooting over at Fotoscope http://slurl.com/secondlife/Fotoscope/78/139/22. There are so many photographic bits and pieces that I knew I’d find an ideal spot to do my look justice. Appearing true to form I ended up in the water…lol.
