Why You Should Care about hya's Photoshop
One SL(tm)'s most creative beings, hyasynth Tiramisu, is without Photoshop temporarily.
We should care, because her frequent releases flatter our pixels and free our imagination. During this brief hiatus I thought I would show you why hya's work is so valued.
First is a Limited Edition of Violet Noir. I'm a lousy hunter so I bought it from someone selling theirs. As always, hya provides for you on every layer. There is a more modest version of the top, but I love the soft lacey openness. The prims move beautifully, with the violet overskirt complementing the corset. My hair is Lxei, one of the Nyanotech hairstyles from Curious Kitties. My skin is Fleur Shoujo 5 in Lily I believe. The purple flower around the eye suited the whole look I thought.
Second is her latest, Moonchild in Rust. She was sure it was too "goth" for me, but worn with the classic ETD Patricia hairstyle in auburn burnt it becomes a bit tamed. The details on the bodice, the belted straps and the brroch, not to mention the collar and prim ruffle in copper just add to the wonderfulness of Moonchild. The slacks are also belted and visible under the wonderful jacket tails, which have delightful feathery innards. Skin is Fleur Allure Smokin' 3 in Truffle while the boots are Stiletto Moody's Bitch Booties.
Hurry back soon hya -- we want more ....

Anytime...
This week we're featuring the Allure Exotique skin at Fleur [now on 50% off sale for a week] and I COULD say my blogpost title is because I could wear Exotique "anytime." But that's not the case.
In a feeble [and totally failed] attempt to clean out my inventory I realized that I had a large number of Last Call items, which, after purchasing both before and during the final sale, I don't wear:( So, since they are available from time to time in yard sales, I thought I'd start blogging some of them.
"Anytime" is one of the first Last Call dresses that I bought. It's a beautifully textured babydoll dress with a beautifully moving skirt and amazingly well-matched pants layer. Even when my hip pokes through it looks fine. Ginny was a genius and is sorely missed.
BUT it's where I am, so I paired it with the black turtleneck from the Tres Blah! Mod outfit, the cigarette pants from Michami's Joanie on the underwear later, minus their primmy bits and with black socks of my making, as well as Kookie's Phoebe shoes in black. Hair is Lily from Truth in whatever color they are calling "pumpkin" now.
Skin is, of course, Fleur Exotique 3 in Truffle.

Smells like Roses.
Wow! Had I forgotten what I had in my inventory…lol. I remember buying this on one of those random shops I occasionally do…and at the time thought ‘What an incredible Dress…must have :)’.
It’s another really girly dress that I don’t usually wear but this is just so adorable and well made that when I rediscovered it..it stayed on my pixels..lol. It’s SDB’s Rose Chiffon Dress and it looks exactly like it’s described. The textures are floaty and diaphanous, the prim roses look pickable. The colour is just a dream. Dress comes with rose ‘collar’/necklace and a prim rose sleeve, both of which I am wearing.
Think I should bring out the cute girly in me more often *grins*.

Bunnehs <3 PixelDolls Too!
This post is part of the attempt to spread bunneh joy all over the pixelated fashion world.
Since I didn't have the CSR bunneh-I asked for special dispensation to use my Kani Bunny from Uchi Desmoulins of Curious Inc. and it was granted. I adore the Mocha Kani, mostly for the lovely pink on the interior of the bunny ears. It also comes with a HUD to control your ears and other options.
This particular Kani Bunny seems to have been to the PixelDolls L$50 dress sale. From left to right my bunneh is wearing PixelDolls' Star Vine in Violet, Icecicle in Silver and the Ghost minidress in Blue. Among the problems encountered were a conflict between my bunneh tail and the two prim skirts, so I just attached the tail to a different point. This is a common issue with furry avis and, in most cases, the tail is easier to redo than the skirt ;)
Hair is SHY48 from Boon in honey and blonde. Since my bunneh comes already furred there is no skin credit ;) And while furries sometimes drop the paws for shoes, I thought I'd let my lil mocha Kani be her natural self! The shape is modified from the one that comes with the avatar, mostly to reduce bewbage.

Mixedup Wednesday!
I'm not sure where this outfit started. I THINK I was already wearing the PixelDolls jeans in Ash picked up at the PD sale. Then I added the subscribe-o Valentine gift sweater from Church of Luxe in red with the adorable heart pattern and back cutout. Next came my favorite Artilleri Funky Scarf/Cherries. It was the first scarf I bought in SL(tm) and I keep going back to it. I covered my middle with homemade undies in black. I figure if I'm wearing a scarf my middle needed covering.
Shoes are Sling Pumps "CHAINED" in Night from MB-CreationZ, a creator I found courtesy of Ana Lutetia's plurk. I'm also wearing Violet Voltaire's Cameo Butterfly Earrings in Olive, the OTK Fair Isle socks from Fleur in Gray and Truth's Lily in Auburn. Skin is one of my favorite Fleur Allures, Smudged 2 in Truffle.

Uncle Wiggily, Part 2
After posting Part 1 of this Uncle Wiggily blog I still had to shoot Part 2. Just when I had finished that shoot a lovely surprise and a im was dropped on me by Esme Michigan. She thanked me for the blog…my pleasure…and dropped me her latest release…Uncle Wiggily green quilt dress. So…no choice but to shoot this lovely gift…please see the first shot…me jumping for joy…lol.
In this Part 2, I am covering the flexi dresses that I splurged (well, hardly) on. Again...the textures are superb, the quality excellent and the flexi skirts gorgeous. Guaranteed I will be going back for more!

In Awe of PixelDolls
I was first introduced to PixelDolls by my friend [and fellow blogger], Fury, when I was looking to buy my first "good" dress. I ended up getting one from Simone, but have, since then, spent my share of time at Chartreuse and now, Port Seraphine. The styles haven't always suited me, but I have collected a few pieces over the past year and a half. I had also picked up a 2005 PD dress named Josette at a yard sale. which I blogged earlier.. So when the L$50 Dress Sale was announced I was there in a flash.
And, after several visits and a full exploration I realized that the history of PixelDolls was there, including some old PixelMuse items at L$10! The one that caught my attention was MetaLilly- Sunset, clearly a fantasy outfit, but rather wonderfully surprising. What look like leg attachments are, in fact a system skirt. And, no they don't disappear near transparent items. Nor do they need to be adjusted. The shoes are also appropriately vintage, prim shoes from Sylfie Minogue's Prim Seduction, the Essential Stilettos in Gold. The hair is Noel in honey from Analog Dog and this DOES have alpha issues. Just remember not to stand in front of a big window ;) My skin is Fleur Allure Kitten 3 in Truffle. As you can see from the gold design that spills off the top and pants onto the body, no jewelry was needed.
Once I realized I was looking at history I turned my attention to the earlier system skirts and liked what I saw. I DID get Josette in a second color, but I'm showing you Amourette instead. between the pleated hem, the fill in on the bodice and the square plunging back, this dress is a good one for that evening out, when you don't want to drag primmage around. The textures are simple, but effectively done. I'm wearing ETD Heel Strap Platforms in Emerald, Analog Dog's Mia in Cherry and an old LC Covet necklace, Arinne, that is no longer available. Fleur Allure Winter Nights 3 in Truffle finishes the outfit.
The PixelDolls sale is a "don't miss", if only to acquire some pieces of SL(tm) fashion history.

Mondrian anyone?
I had seen some pictures of Dani Harrop's clothes that made me think of the Dutch painter, Piet Mondrian, so when I tp-ed over to Dani's Fashions I was looking out for them. She does have a dress that is echt-Mondrian, but I fell for the Retro Plaid dress that I am wearing. For a most reasonable price you get the dress, leggings, belt and sculpty leggings, collar and sleeves.
I decided not to wear the belt as they never look right on me, but the outfit stands nicely without it. One interesting design feature is the skirt, which is 2 prims, non-flexi and I have to say it works nicely. I have always been bothered by clothes that fly into pieces as soon as you walk. I mean, who has seen a flexi trench coat for example ?
Also worn: Richelieux Leathershoes in brown from Polina Kaestner, Raven earrings from Second Mirage, Luth hair in auburn burnt from ETD and, last, but not least, Fleur's Allure Kitten 1 in truffle, appropriately retro for the dress.

You can't have...
...too many scarves! Well maybe you can, but try to stop me!
On the right is the Border Fringe Stole in pink from Massimo! The layering on the fringes is exceptional. I'd have to say that it's my favorite scarf I've found so far! It comes in two attachment points and 2 sizes.
The other two are from Aoharu and show how effectively what look like brushstrokes are able to create a light chiffon look. The center green one is the Bubble Scarf. On the left is the Chiffon Scarf in purple. The textures are very different between the Massimo and Aoharu scarves, but both are delightful to wear and easy to look at.
The rest of my outfit is meant as a base for the colorful scarves, but here are the details anyway :) The sweater is the Campy Cable in Coal from Ki2, Michami's cigarette pants from the Joanie outfit in black and the belt is the pouch belt in black from Shiny Things. Hair on the right is Mia from Analog Dog and on the left Dana, from Zer0 Style. Skin is Fleur Allure Fall in Love 1 in Truffle.

Unaccustomed as I am ...
... to wearing hair or skin from anyone other than ETD or Fleur, I'm doing so for today's mashup.
It started with the hair from Analog Dog. It's the first short style I've seen from then that I really like, although I actually had to stretch it to make the hairline work for me. [Usually their hair swallows me whole.] The style is Mia and I'm wearing it in Cherry I think. [I'm one of those whose login is currently blocked for inventory maintenance. Now if I could just get them to organize it for me LOL]
As did half the grid I think, I wandered over to the Aoharu sale. Did some serious damage in shoes, looked at the clothes and they still weren't for me. But I'd never looked at their skins before so off I trotted down the sim to Aoharu2. I fell for Lisa Pinky Eye for its eyeshadow and blush. The body detail isn't super, but then that face did me in. And at half-price why not?
Rest of the mashup is the Trixie cami in Wisteria from Celestial Studios, Violet Voltaire's No Love Lost necklace, Michami's cigarette pants from the Joanie outfit in black and without their delicious prim cuffs. The cuffs from the pants conflicted with my orginal boots so I just made myself some matching socks. Shoes are Maitreya's Mishima Dawn in Puce, while the belt is the pouch belt in black from Shiny Things.

Uncle Wiggily, Part 1
I was inspired to revisit Uncle Wiggily by Sam wearing one of their flexi dresses. What I didn’t realise was that I’d go mad in there and buy loads of dresses.
Part 1 is all the system dresses I picked up, naughty but at such prices how could I resist? Even though system all these dresses are well made with wonderful textures…it would be nice if all system clothes were this well made and thought out. I am a fan of this creator, no doubt about it!

Naughty Sam!
Well not as *naughty* as Fury's last post, but for me to buy a pair of Stiletto Moody's shoes was very naughty, even though they were purchased at the members 40% sale.
They are still expensive at that price, but I thought it was time to see what the fuss was about. I know the issue concerning pricing and the subcontracted work and they concern me. Also many of their styles are not to my taste. But I've lusted after the Pinup Pump in Grey Patent Python, so I fell.
The options and update system are nice. I like that you can change the chain color, or hide it altogether if you wish.
To support my "naughtiness" I am wearing the Christmas "Naughty" t-shirt from LOOKR. My skirt is the Fishnet Fairy from Curious Kitties and my hair, also from CK, is Lxei, one of the Nyanotech styles that comes with a HUD to change the color, although you can also do it by just clicking the hair itself. Skin is Fleur's new Biba 1 in Truffle, fishnet tights are probably from Celestial Studios, an old group gift, but are readily available in many shops.
So was it worth being "naughty?" You be the judge!

ColeMarie Soleil, Part 2
I first saw this outfit on Flickr a while back on Skycat Rangers page and thought ‘hmmm ColeMarie is making clothes again’. Then I saw the talented young lady herself at an event wearing the same dress and that was it, I wanted it…lol. So, just before Christmas I followed ColeMarie’s links to her new outlet…Cole’s Corner…and purchased the outfit, Snow Sprite.
It’s fun, it’s mainly attachments…lol…I think I am way more well endowed than ColeMarie as I had to tweak the chest attachments to keep me modest…lol….and it’s the kind Liz Hearly event dress to wear to steal the show.
Again, I didn’t wear all the options…so the wrist cuffs are not shown here. However, I did choose to wear the particles because I think they bring the whole outfit together. The top and skirt could be pieces of art in themselves, the skirt sporting a wonderful light halo as a hem. You can have it in any colour as long as it is white…lol…and boy, is it ever white…lol.
ColeMarie..keep creating please. Your outfits are fun, refreshing and original.

The Gloves Have It!
Since I cannot enter the Fleur Gloves Flickr Contest myself, you get a gloves blog today:)
Both pairs are from the new Brights Pack, now available at the Fleur sim in The Clothing Store. and both lovely dresses were gifts:)
First I am wearing Callie Cline's Citron Lane dress in Crimson with our crimson gloves. My dress was a Christmas present from a good friend <3. I really like the system skirt with the prim bustle and train. So many long formals swallow me whole. This one doesn't.
Shoes look like ETD's D'Orsay stilettos in black. Hair is Heather in auburn burnt, also ETD, bought at the super sale that runs through the 9th. I'm pretty sure my skin is Fleur Allure Lounge 2 in Truffle. Jewelry is Alienbear's Teardrop Pearls in black.
SySy Chapman was kind enough to give the ladies free formals for the party that closed down The Big Apple sim just before New Year's. I found the black one really perfect for my shape. I'm wearing it with the Fleur Long Gloves in Saffron, along with the Alienbear Teardrop Pearls in yellow. Skin is the same. Hair is ETD's Patricia in auburn burnt and you can't see my feet:)
And I'm looking forward to help choosing the winners in the Fleur contest!

Going to the party!
The perfect new year brings great new things. And so I conclude this must going to be lovely year. One of the events that proves it, is the launch of the new skinline of LionSkins.
With the arrival of Su their third skinline is born. And this new pupil of LionSkins does keep up the tradition of the explosion of colors that so marks their designs.
It was a party to lock myself in my studio with some of the new goodies. My personal favorite new Su turned out to match perfectly with the new dress of Kunglers (Fantasia - see top pic), giving me the needed outfit to go to the LionSkins launch party at 1pm slt (today, jan 4th).
Also worth mentioning is that the skins come with two different brow options, making the mix 'n matching lot's of fun.
And now, l'm off to the party! What better way to end a sunday then dancing the night away!
Hugs, Noena

Christmas in January
Roslin and CJ gave each of the Fleur staff a custom skin for the Holidays. I received mine yesterday and it was well worth waiting for! I had fallen in love with the new Shojo skintone, Azalea, which retains the Shojo combination of powder and glow, so knew that was where I would start. I LOVE the coral lips from the Shojo DNB 1 so that was my next step. Then the question was -- what eyes? I ended up selecting the purple/indigo eyeshadow from the Nicky Ree collaboration skin, Elizabeth, and I have to say I am totally smitten with the result :) Thank you soooooo much :)
I'm wearing one of the first tops I bought from Chic Boutique way back when. I always loved the cable stitching and the soft bow. The jeans are Kari's John Doe. My jewelry is Violet Voltaire's Girl Germs Cameo Set: Spider. Hair is ETD's Patootie in auburn burnt.

ColeMarie Soleil, Part 1
ColeMarie Soleil…what a talent. From the first time she dropped a dress on me to the two I have just bought..I am a fan. This is haute couture at its freshest and most uncompromising. Cole’s Corner hosts her shop where all her buyable creations can be found…it’s fun, funky and just adorable.
The lastest fashion to come out from there is the Musette dress. It's in your face and edgy but sophisticated too. I think as a well endowed avatar I have to play a lot with prims to fit me..this was the case here…but it hasn’t detracted from the dress. The detailing is lovely…the lace hem for example. The texture and shading very cleverly used to make it dramatic.
I admit to not using the whole folder…included are leg and arm attachments. I like to keep my look simple but they are just wonderful and fun to wear with this dress.
All told...I look forward to more of ColeMarie’s work.

Worth the Revival
When a friend dropped a folder on me just before Christmas it took me ages to get round to opening it…*shame face*.
The gift was a cocktail dress from Emporium Discovolante and it is delicious. It is very Audrey Hepburn meets Stepford Wives and I love it. The textures give the impression of satin and the skirt moves like a dream. It also available as a ballgown.
I have teamed it with Adam n Eve Sculpted Stole, that would go well with any off the shoulder dress, and Fleur gloves…all of which just sets the feel to the whole ensemble.

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great time and I wish you the very best for 2009!
Personally I had a lovely evening, that I spent at a party with friends of mine.
When going to parties, to me the fun already begins with getting ready for it. Bathing, grooming, choosing my outfit,... I love taking plenty of time for it. And although last night, I did find myself a great outfit, I couldn't help thinking: mmh, I wish I had one of those certain SL outfits hanging in my closet. *grins* Yeah, that's probably a sign that I spent too much time online. :)
The one outfit I was thinking of in particular, was this lovely new dress of the Kungler sisters, named Isobel. It's a divine exhibit of luxury, using warm purple textures. Both the collar and skirt are designed using layered fabrics, making them lovely, full and lush.
The dress comes together with two triple-part bracelets, that give the outfit the correct finishing touch to make it a true eyestopper.
Now I would not have hesitated one second if this beauty could have been found in my RL inventory. It would have been more than the perfect dress to my opinion. But oh well, a girl can dream, and wish... certainly at the start of a brand new year! :)
Hugs and big New Year kiss,
Noena
PS: the Kungler sisters just recently opened their own brand new sim, Kunglers Fashionate Island. It's gorgeous and a definite must-see!
